Local Families and Advocates March for Nursing Home Reform and Accountability
Families and community advocates participated in a walk demanding better staffing, oversight and accountability in long-term-care facilities. Organizer Tracy Pompey began advocating after losing her father to what she describes as nursing-home neglect. The Richmond event was one of dozens of coordinated walks nationwide.
