Our Role
Everyday Patriots in Action is a curated civic archive. We do not produce original reporting. Instead, we collect and organize links to independently published journalism documenting peaceful, lawful civic action across the United States. Our responsibility is to represent that reporting faithfully and clearly.
Independence
Everyday Patriots in Action is an independent civic archive project. We are not affiliated with any political campaign, political party, or advocacy organization.
No Endorsement of:
- • The views of the author.
- • The positions of quoted sources.
- • The outcome of the actions described.
Selection Standards
Articles must meet the following criteria:
- • Published by an identifiable news organization, nonprofit newsroom, or professional journalist.
- • Focused on verifiable civic actions or democratic processes.
- • Consistent with peaceful, lawful civic participation undertaken to protect democracy and human dignity.
- • Grounded in observable events.
We will decline to include articles that rely primarily on opinion, unverified claims, or inflammatory framing.
Summaries & Descriptions
When we provide summaries or contextual descriptions, we adhere to strict descriptive protocols.
- • We aim to reflect the substance and tone of the original article.
- • We avoid loaded language, editorial comment or rhetorical framing.
- • We describe actions and outcomes rather than assign motives or intent.
- • We clearly distinguish between reported facts and quoted statements.
How We Categorize Stories
Each story in this archive is categorized using a consistent, process-based framework. Categories are descriptive, not evaluative.

Identifies the U.S. State (or District of Columbia). -
Civic Area
Identifies the public institution or regulated system. -
Civic Action
Identifies the primary lawful mechanism used.
Categorization reflects the primary civic area and primary civic action described in the source material.
Attribution & Linking
- • All curated entries link to the original publication.
- • Publication names and dates are clearly displayed.
- • Credit remains with the original authors and outlets.
Updates & Changes
- • We aim to reflect in our listings retractions, significant updates or corrections made by the original publisher.
- • If we learn that an article has been removed by its publisher, we may note that change or remove the entry.
Corrections Policy
We welcome requests to correct errors. When a correction is warranted, we:
- • Will correct the error promptly.
- • Will note the correction on the entry or page.
- • Will not silently rewrite material.
