At any given time, the distribution of stories reflects where and how civic action is occurring, not editorial endorsement.

Why "Everyday Patriots"

We use the term patriot in its civic sense: a commitment to democratic principles, constitutional governance, respect for human dignity, and peaceful participation in public life.

Patriotism, as we use it here, is not about ideology, party affiliation, or identity. It refers to how ordinary people engage democratic institutions, often at the local level, to respond to real circumstances in their communities, protect the rights and dignity of others, and uphold shared democratic norms.

Site Stewardship

Everyday Patriots in Action is curated and maintained by Vickie Rawlins, a lawyer and governance leader with experience across all three branches of government and the private sector. Throughout her career, she has focused on helping powerful institutions operate lawfully, responsibly, and in service to the communities they affect. The archive reflects that same commitment to ethics, transparency, and institutional accountability.
